Aromatherapy is generally associated with relaxation and stress relief, but there are also rejuvenating aromatherapy scents that can motivate, focus and arouse. Many of the essential oils used in aromatherapy have several uses so that an oil that is used in a bedtime aromatherapy potion may also be used in a rejuvenation formula.
The ancient practice of aromatherapy has been shown effective in many ways in the modern world. There are aromatherapy formulas with energy, rejuvenation, relaxation, aphrodisiac and calming properties. Each of these uses several different oils that have different effects. These aromatherapy formulas can be purchased pre-made or individuals can blend and dilute their own potions. The art of creating aromatherapy potions is one that takes knowledge of the oils and their effects as well as some practice with dilution and blending.
Rejuvenating aromatherapy formulas can be used in candles, diffusers, warmers, steam vapor, lotions and massage oils and are effective for both women and men of all ages.
Some of the most common essential oils used in aromatherapy formulas for rejuvenation include:
• Lavender- refreshes and clears the mind
• Palmarosa- energizes and soothes the nerves
• Allspice- invigorating scent
• Lemon- fresh crisp scent that energizes
• Patchouli- clears the mind and motivates
• Peppermint- refreshing invigorating scent that energizes while calming
• Tea Tree- strong scent that blend well with other rejuvenating oils
• Spruce- energizing scent with calming properties
• Rose- rejuvenating oil that calms and acts as a mild aphrodisiac
These rejuvenating essential oils can be combined or used individually as well as being incorporated into almond oil for a skin treatment, added to candles, and warmed or diffused to spread the energizing scent throughout the room. While providing rejuvenating and energizing properties each of these oils also address calm nerves and stress relief. Rejuvenating aromatherapy formulas can benefit people both at home and in the workplace to help maintain an even mood and energy to do what has to be done.
Creating a rejuvenating aromatherapy scent is simply a matter of using these essential oils that have rejuvenation properties and blending them until a pleasant scent is formed. Some people prefer a stronger scent and others prefer a more subdued scent, aromatherapy is a personal decision as is the amount of the aroma in a home.
Aromatherapy has been used for centuries for both physical and mental ailments and is generally considered to be safe to use along with modern medicines making it a popular choice of treatment for many problems and to improve both mental and physical health.
