Lavender has long been used in aromatherapy formulas. Known as a plant that is associated with cleanliness the essential oil of lavender is used in many formulas of modern aromatherapy. This scent that is a favorite for scenting clothing, soap and closets was historically inhaled in order to relieve exhaustion, insomnia, depression and irritability. The sweet floral scent lifts the mood while soothing frayed nerves.
Besides the mental benefits of lavender in aromatherapy formulas, lavender is also used for many physical aspects as well. • Sachet packets are made with lavender to scent drawers and closets, even pillowcases.
• A few drops of lavender into a warm bath will provide relaxation and relief for the mind and the body.
Lavender essential oil is gentle and effective for many different forms of aromatherapy. Whether at home or in the workplace lavender can soothe the mind, relieve stress and provide relief from many physical ailments.
